Day Camp 2019 - BEST SUMMER EVER!

Do you remember your #BestSummerEver? Sign your kids up for day camp at the Ashtabula County YMCA and make this an adventurous, active and healthy summer. Summer Fun Club at the Y is about discovery. Kids have the opportunity to explore nature, find new talents, try new activities, gain independence, and make lasting friendships and memories. And, of course, its fun too. Field trips include horseback riding at Rustler's Ranch, Perry Outdoor YMCA, amusement at Waldameer Park, Great Lake Science Center, Safari at the Erie Zoo, a Luau at the beach, and weekly trips to a lot more.

February 2019 Family Fun Night

Our next family fun night, For The Love Of Family is coming up on Friday, February 15th from 5pm to 7pm at the Ashtabula County YMCA. Gather up the kids and come to the Y for a family style dinner, cookie decorating, and some silly games to play when the kids say they are bored.

Fee: Member FREE, Regular $5 per family

Spring 2019 Jr Lifeguard Class

This fun and educational course is designed to help prepare young aspiring lifeguards for the Red Cross Lifeguarding course. The class focuses on building a foundation of knowledge, attitudes and skills of future lifeguards. Participants get an introduction to first aid, CPR, and AED skills, as well as development of swimming skills and practice on in-the-water rescues. Successful completion of this class will lead to volunteer opportunities at the Y pool.

2019 Membership Satisfaction Survey

The Ashtabula County YMCA Board of Directors is begining a new strategic planning process to shape the future of our non-profit organization and is requesting current YMCA members to participate in a member satisfaction survey to better inform that process. If you are a current member of the Ashtabula County YMCA, please take a moment to participate in our survey. The participation deadline is February 28, 2019.

2019 Winter Open House

Looking for something to do this winter? Need a family place to go get out some couped up engergy? Stop into the Ashtabula County YMCA on Sunday, February 3rd from 1pm to 3pm for our Winter Open House. Along with Jeremy James from Mix 97.1, we'll have door prizes, tours, refreshments, and more. Plus, we'll wavie the entire $50 joining fee if you join at the open house!

In an effort to make it even easier to achieve the goals you set for the new year, we have lowered our joining fee to $0 through January 31, 2019!  That's a $50 value! But, that's not all. With a Y membership, you also get:

2019 Jr. High Basketball League

Registration for the 2019 Jr. High Basketball League is available through February 13, 2019. This is a late winter, early spring basketball league for 7th and 8th graders. The league is open to all skill and experience levels. Games mostly follow OHSAA rules. Teams will be created by the YMCA, with no more than two children from any school team on the same Y team. The season will start immediately following the 7th and 8th grade school system season has finished. Games will be held on Saturday mornings with practices one weekday evening each week.

Winter 2018-2019 Nature Programs

Come on out for a walk and learn about nature in a few of our county's great parks and trails! Bring your hiking boots, binoculars, cameras, and field guides, and enjoy nature with our Nature Coordinator. Please dress accordingly, as we will still walk in light rain and on muddy trails, and please wear proper footwear as a few of the trails require crossing creeks (Creek Walk programs will take place in the water).

2018 Annual YMCA Golf Outing

Please plan on joining us for our Annual Golf Outing on June 8, 2018 which at the Geneva-on-the-Lake Municipal Golf Course, 1:00pm shot gun start. Cost is $70.00 per person or $280.00 per team which includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, lunch at the turn, beverages, hole/door prizes, 50/50, and dinner catered by Meola's Catering at 5:00pm.

2018 Youth Volleyball Program

This program will introduce children to the game of volleyball. Children will work on the fundamentals of the game, as well as the individual skills needed to be a successful player. Participants will learn how to rotate, rules of the game, and how the game is scored. They will also learn the basics of passing, setting, serving/receiving, and hitting/blocking. Participants must wear knee pads.

Ages: Grades 4-6
When: Mondays and Thursdays, April 2 through May 10 (6-7 pm)
Fee: Member $28
