Youth Basketball League

Registration is now open for YMCA Youth Basketball League! This is a fun, non-competitive, instructional co-ed league for boys and girls ages 6 through 6th grade.

Noon Adult Basketball to Return

We are excited to announce that beginning Monday, October 5, 2020, the YMCA gym will open for adult noontime basketball on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 12:00 to 1:30pm.  Members over the age of 18 will be able to come in and play pickup basketball at those times.

In order to ensure our ability to continue to operate safely, all state coronavirus sports mandates must be followed:

•  Masks must be worn throughout the building whenever you are not currently playing or officiating.

Child Watch Returns With Limited Schedule

Child Watch is back on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings from 8:30am to 12:00pm.  More hours will be added as we are able to do so safely.

Please note these additional precautions in place during Covid:

• Ages are limited to 3 to 10 years.

• All children will need to wear a mask.

• There is a limit of four children at a time, first come first served.

• Maximum time is one and a half hours.

• Children will need to have their temperature taken at the front desk prior to signing in.

Parkinson's Disease Exercise and Support Group

The YMCA is proud to offer this exercise and support group for individuals living with Parkinson's and for their caregivers. There will be a 45 minute discussion/support followed by 45 minutes of exercise . This class will meet the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month, beginning in September. No registration is required. Please contact Bonnie @ (440)997-5321 or bkonczal@ashtabulaymca.org for any further information.

Youth Field Day at the Y

Enjoy a fun day of friendly competition at our first YMCA Youth Field Day event! Children 3 years old through 8th grade will compete with their peers in fun events such as football toss, push up challenge, foot races, jump rope, and more. Social distancing will be applied, and any shared equipment will be sanitized between participants. Each child will participate in every event, unless unable to do so.

Firecracker Virtual 5K, 10K, 1 Mile Run

Due to current restrictions in place, this year's Firecracker 5K, 10K, and 1 Mile Fun Run will be a virtual event.  This event is more than just a run.  It supports LIVESTRONG at the YMCA, a program that offers adults affected by cancer a safe, supportive environment to participate in physical and social activities focused on strengthening the whole person.  All fees will go directly toward funding this program here in Ashtabula County.
