Joining Fee

Joining fees are a one-time investment in the facilities.  Your joining fee will not be payable again as long as your membership does not lapse more than 30 days.

Easy Pay

Automatic monthly withdrawal of membership dues from a bank account or charge to a Visa or MasterCard. The down-payment will be the prorated membership dues for the remainder of the month plus the joining fee.  No long term commitment is required, just a 30-day notice to terminate.  Once on this plan, the account used can be changed at any time with a 30-day notice.

Return Payment

The Ashtabula County YMCA reserves the right to charge a return payment fee for any transactions unpaid by the bank including credit card, debit card, EFT transactions, and returned checks.

Annual Payment Plan

When you join as an annual pay member, you will pay 12 months plus a partial thirteenth month (depending on the day of the month you join). The membership will automatically renew each year until you cancel & return your membership card(s) to the YMCA.

Termination of Membership

Membership will continue until you have completed the 30-day termination notice available at the front desk. Annual memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Address Changes

Please notify the Y if your address, phone number, or email address changes.  This is important so we can keep you updated and informed about all the benefits of your membership.

Financial Assistance

The YMCA is committed to providing quality programs and services to all members of the community, regardless of their ability to pay. Confidential financial assistance is available through our Financial Assistance Program. If you feel we can help your family in this way, please let us know.

There are two ways to qualify for assistance.  The first, and simplist way, is to bring your most recent tax return to the Y.  We can determine immediately, with no waiting, your eligability.  Information on your tax return must match the information provided on your membership application.  The second way, if you don't file a tax return, is to call the Y and get on the financial assistance list.  We contact people on the list, in order.  Once contacted we will provid you with a list of documents to bring in relevant to your situation and you will be approved once that information has been reviewed.

The amount of financial assistance varies based on household size and household income and is approved for a period of time determined by your situation.  Once approved, you must use the membership or program to maintain financial assistance.
